We didn't
set out to raise the standards for value-priced rifles, we
set out to blow them away. And this is the result: The
all-new Remington Model 710. The most affordable,
high-performance centerfire rifle ever built. Through the
years, Remington has garnered a reputation as the undisputed
leader in bolt-action rifle design. Today, the Model 710
carries on that tradition as the latest landmark in
Remington centerfire innovation.
Introducing the Remington Model 710. The breakthrough design
of the Model 710 begins with good genetics. Make that the
best genetics. After all, it was born in design from none
other than the legendary Remington Model 700
unquestionably the most popular, most accurate factory-built
centerfire in hunting arms history. As such, the new Model
710 shares many of the same hallmark features as the famous
Model 700: The same unequaled out-of-the-box accuracy. The
same time-honored reliability. The same crisp, single-stage
trigger design. The same ultra-fast lock time. And the same
famous "three-rings-of-steel" for superior action strength.
But while much of the Model 710's base design is owed to its
heritage, its real story starts with advancements made
possible through today's most modern technology. Built in
America's newest firearms plant through state-of-the-art
manufacturing systems the Model 710 not only breaks new
ground for value-priced rifles, but for firearms engineering
and production as a whole. Principal among its many
remarkable features is a first-ever bolt-to-barrel lock-up
design. The rear of the Model 710 barrel is machined
specifically to mate with three unique locking lugs on the
bolt face. When the bolt is fully engaged in the forward
position, it locks directly and securely inside the barrel
rather than the receiver for unprecedented strength.
Additionally, the fiberglass-reinforced nylon receiver
insert is blended with Teflon and silicon before molding for
continual self-lubrication and ultimately smooth operation.
A shorter, 60-degree bolt throw (versus 90-degrees on most
competitive rifles) makes for more convenient loading and
unloading, as well as faster follow-up shots. Rounding out
the impressive list of features is a detachable, dual-stack
steel magazine box. A key-operated Integrated Security
System. And a button-rifled barrel that's hydraulically
pressed to the receiver. The stock is also quite a feat of
design constructed of weather-defying gray synthetic with
a uniquely textured finish and raised cheekpiece.
Feature for feature, there isn't a more advanced rifle in
its range.
New Model 710 bolt design employs three unique locking
lugs that lock the bolt up inside the barrel rather than
the receiver delivering unprecedented strength,
particularly among other rifles in its class.
Proven Remington cylindrical receiver design features a
unique new fiberglass-reinforced, self-lubricating nylon
receiver insert, impregnated with both silicon and Teflon
for ultimately smooth, reliable bolt operation.
Shorter 60-degree bolt throw (vs. 90-degree throw on
competing rifles) delivers faster follow-up shots.
22" ordnance-grade steel barrel is button-rifled (the same
process used on custom rifle barrels) with 6-groove,
right-hand, 1-in-10 twist rifling. Additionally, the barrel
is hydraulically pressed to the receiver for permanent
attachment and bedded in the stock.
Removable, dual-stack steel magazine box (as opposed to
blind design on competitive models) with center feed and
four-round capacity.
Unique, dark-gray specially textured synthetic composite
stock with raised cheekpiece (unavailable on competitive
rifles), black recoil pad and sling swivel studs.
42 1/2" overall length; 7 1/8 lbs. (up to 3/8-lb. lighter
than other rifles in its class).
Exclusive, key-operated Remington Integrated Security
System.
Pre-mounted, bore-sighted 3-9x40 scope with high-grade
rings and mounts. |
